Aeromotive's New 340 Stealth Fuel Pump

Friday, 29 July 2011 13:15 by Admin

Aeromotive is proud to announce the official release of their new 340 Stealth Fuel Pumps. Although the 340 is similar to other OEM replacement fuel pumps in its fitment into factory fuel tanks and hanger assemblies; the 340 blows away the competition, boasting over 340 lph of flow at 40 psi. Never before could you get such performance from an in-tank fuel pump, especially one that fits into your vehicle. Consider the bar… raised!

These high-output, in-tank, electric fuel pumps are direct bolt-in replacements for more than 65 popular EFI applications. The 340 is also ideal for use as a universal replacement for applications that require more flow to support forced air power adders such as turbo and supercharged applications.

What sets the 340 Stealth Pump apart is its superior flow throughout a wide pressure range. Compared to other popular aftermarket pumps, at 40 psi the 340 boasts more than 340 lph. That’s over 30% more flow. This pump is ideal for applications requiring more flow while retaining the factory lines and mounting provisions available in the Original Equipment (O.E.) configuration.

The 340 Stealth Fuel Pump from Aeromotive comes in 3 different inlet styles. To see which pump is right for your vehicle, call your sales rep today!

Frequently Asked Questions about DEI’s CryO2

Friday, 29 July 2011 08:15 by Admin

What is CryO2?
CryO2 uses cryogenic technology to cool the air/fuel intake charge to produce a colder denser charge. Liquid CO2 is delivered through a feed line to a cryogenic solenoid valve and then dispensed to the first CryO2 component. From there the system hops from one CryO2 component to another. If a CryO2 Intercooler Sprayer is used it is always positioned as the last in the system because it actually vents the liquid CO2 directly onto the fins of the intercooler.

What’s Needed to install and setup a CryO2 system?
A CryO2 setup begins with either a 5 or 10lb installation kit. Then a decision has to be made as to what CryO2 component(s) to use with the Tank / Install kit. There are three different components to choose from, or any combination of the three can be selected. Choose from an Air Intake chamber (2-1/2” or 3” OD), Intercooler Sprayer (3 different size options depending on intercooler surface area) and a Fuel Bar (4 color choices) or Fuel Chiller System. It’s truly a modular system.

What Horsepower does it make?
That is a tricky question because of the many variables involved in the physics of the system - base horsepower, altitude, ambient air temp, humidity, intake system, MAS airflow sensor and intercooler efficiency can all affect the performance of the system.
We tested a naturally aspirated Honda Civic with 110 base HP on an 85°F day with 72% humidity using just one Air Intake Chamber and produced a 9% increase in horsepower. In this example we saw an intake temperature of 38°F with just one Air Intake Chamber. Other tests have produced increases in excess of 40 HP+ in extreme heat soaked conditions utilizing various cryogenic components.
Think about how your car performs on a cool fall morning…it feels more responsive and powerful. As the engine heats up it loses horsepower and becomes a little sluggish…What we have created is a way to give you that cool fall morning response on demand while eliminating power robbing heat soak conditions!

DEI’s CryO2: The Power of Cool

Monday, 25 July 2011 08:58 by Admin

CryO2 reduces air & fuel temperates thus creating power. Through the science of aerodynamics and cryogenics, Design Engineering has harnessed the properties of liquid CO2 to lower the intake charge temperate by as much as 35%. A cooler air charge equates to more POWER.
